F&K Products

Launched in 2002 in Potsdam, Germany, F&K Physiktechnik is the result of many years of excellent cooperation between F&K Delvotec Bondtechnik GmbH in Ottobrunn and GaP in Teltow.

F&K Physiktechnik’s main primary focus is on ultrasonic technology that includes test and measurement equipment to characterize the ultrasonic systems of bond (wire bond, die bond etc.) machines.

Incoming quality control of transducers and bonding tools becomes possible with TTS before they are used at production.

TTS is also used as training tool for operators and technicians on proper mounting of ultrasonic transducers and bonding tools.

Key Advantages

  • Transducer Test System (TTS) measures all electrical characteristics of the ultrasonic system by scanning over a frequency range. With recording and study of such measurements, the health condition of the ultrasonic system can be monitored after commissioning at production floor.
  • Incoming quality control of transducers and bonding tools becomes possible with TTS before they are used at production.
  • TTS is also used as training tool for operators and technicians on proper mounting of ultrasonic transducers and bonding tools.
  • Optical Displacement System (ODS) measures vibration amplitude and frequency at the bonding tip. With such measurements, machine ultrasonic process parameters can be fine-adjusted such that all machines have uniform vibration outputs. This enables better process window control and increases production yield and quality.
  • Optional bond force sensor is available for measurement of bond force over time up to 2kgf (20N).

Transducer Test System (TTS-030)

  • Measures resonance frequency, resonance impedance, resonance power of ultrasonic transducers
  • Transducer Frequency Range = 20 to 200 kHz
  • Full scale accuracy = ±2.5%
  • Ultrasonic power up to 5W at 22 ohms for fine wire bonders or up to 30W at 32 ohms for heavy wire bonders

Optical Displacement System (ODS-020)

  • Mechanical displacement (peak-peak) range = 0.1 to 20 µm with accuracy ±0.2 µm or better
  • Mechanical vibration frequency range = 30 to 250 kHz with ±0.02 kHz accuracy
  • Bond force measuring ranges = 0 to 20N with ±0.02 N accuracy

Optical Displacement System (ODS-021) for K&S ball bonders

  • Used as K&S USG Calibration Kit (Gap Sensor Kit)
  • Mechanical displacement (peak-peak) range = 0.1 to 2 µm with accuracy ±0.05 µm or better
  • Mechanical vibration frequency range = 30 to 200 kHz with ±0.02 kHz accuracy
  • Bond force measuring ranges = 0 to 20N with ±0.02 N accuracy
